1. Point the camera at the floor and move the phone slowly side to side until the ring appears.
2. Aim the ring at the first corner, tap + and hold still for half a second while the ring fills. Repeat at the second corner.
3. The ring shows where the point will go. White: on a detected surface. Blue: placed using depth (phones with depth support). Red: the wall isn't detected, so sweep the phone slowly across it until the ring changes.
4. On a wall the ring should stand upright facing you. If it lies flat, it's hitting the floor behind the wall.
5. Hold the phone 0.5–2 m from what you measure for the best accuracy.
